Blue Grenadier is suitable for most methods of cooking as the fillet flakes very easily and is truly succulent. The fillet is of long shape and rather slender, tapering slightly and of a delicate, white, moist flesh.

We fish for Blue Grenadier along the continental slopes of western Bass Strait and western Tasmania, regarded as some of the purest and wildest ocean waters of the world.

At Petuna we market our Blue Grenadier as skin-off – skin-on frozen fillet, fish fillet blocks and as fresh fillets. We also offer smoked Blue Grenadier from our Devonport smoke house – a seriously fine smoked fish delicacy.

The average size of our Blue Grenadier catch is 60 – 600cm 1-3.5kg.
